Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade attended summer art camp last week, June 5-9. Mrs. Carter and Ms. Morgason hosted the camp where students created several projects in paint, clay, metal and much more!

As part of Mrs. Runyon's 6th Graders unit on the Middle Ages, she read the book, The Door in the Wall to the students. As they listened, they drew illustrations. The students in each class voted on their favorite. The winners are: 6B - Gage Traiteur with his illustration of the Lindsay Castle of Sir Peter. 6A - Vivian Kehrer illustrated the cross that Robin made and then threw and it broke. 6C - Makenna Neff illustrated a door in a wall which could have been used as a cover.

Congratulations to the 2022-2023 Smithton Cougar Concert Band students who earned a rating of “Excellent” today at the 2023 Music in the Parks competition at Six Flags St. Louis! If you know a 7th or 8th grade band member, congratulate them!
