Teachers and Staff at Smithton Elementary wore blue to show our support of the proper implementation of Common Core. We are incredibly dedicated to the students and their education. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to be a part of your children's lives and education!
Wedding Bells!
5th Grade Teacher Ms. Erica Fritsche wants to thank her class for throwing her a surprise bridal shower. The students did an awesome job putting everything together and everyone had a great time. Ms. Fritsche will be getting married over the summer. Congratulations, Erica!

Smithton Students Are Incredible!
Students from Smithton School joined in the St. Baldrick's event and had their heads shaved to battle childhood cancer! The event raised over $20,000!! Out of the 69 shavees, 26 were Smithton School students! The girls also donated their hair to Locks of Love. A big THANK YOU goes out to everyone who participated in this great event.

Business is Booming!
Mrs. Smith's 7th Graders worked on a math project where they formed construction companies and can use toothpicks and glue only to see who can construct the strongest bridge. Each company consists of a project director, architect, accountant, transportation chief, and carpenter. Check it out!

Important Notices
The following school dates are scheduled for end of year:
May 20th and 21st - regular school days for everyone
May 22nd - No School - Teacher Institute Day. 9AM - Graduation Practice for 8th Grade (students bring clothes and gown). 7PM - Graduation
May 23rd - Last Day for Teachers and Students. 10AM Dismissal. Parents bringing their children to school can pick up report cards and leave. Buses will leave at 10AM for children taking bus transport.
